DESCRIPTION

It’s no secret that kids love Dalmatians, but Guinness the Good Girl™ might just be the most lovable Dalmatian of all, because she loves both kids and adults right back. In the G3 Book Series™, Guinness and her best friend Dottie meet all kinds of interesting people in often hilarious situations.

This first installment of the series is Guinness’s origin story, where she comes to Dottie as a sometimes-troublesome puppy and grows into the adorable Guinness the Good Girl! This is a fun book (to inspire kids to want to read) that kids love, but it also includes themes of working hard to attain one’s goals and touches on the responsibilities of being a dog owner. It also explains why Dalmatians are known as fire dogs. It concludes with a short section of Dalmatian facts, including how they once worked as fire dogs and coach dogs, as well as some interesting facts about their spots.

Reedsy Discovery Review Loved it! 😍. This book is perfect for any dog lover out there! The book gives a small glimpse into the "trouble" a pup might cause but mainly focuses on how wonderful a dog can be with love & attention. Her mother insists Dottie make straight A's and earn the money for the licensing fee, which is 50 dollars. Dottie reassures her father the dog will be no trouble and agrees to her mother's demands. Dottie was excited when her parents ordered one of the Dalmatian puppies at Daphne's Dal House. Her selected pup's birth name was Nothin' but Trouble, which did raise a red flag. When Nothin' but Trouble, now named Guinness, came home, it was love at first sight. It had a heart-shaped nose, which Dottie just adored. The puppy did live up to her original name by peeing indoors and chewing on objects, but that's typical dog behavior. With time and training, Guinness proved to be a very good girl. As Dottie and Guinness ventured into town to buy a dog license, they noticed a firetruck struggling to get through a crowd of people. Their horn was inoperable, and they were desperate to get to the burning building. Cue Guinness! The canine did what dogs do best...BARKED.
