DESCRIPTION

The order of the letters in the alphabet is a time-honored tradition. But when some of the letters become unhappy with their place in the line, it becomes an all-out letter rebellion. Can the alphabet ever recover, or will communication break down forever?

It’s a day like any other, with all of the letters standing around and talking. But when the letter N decides he wants more room and to be moved further up to the front of the line, all of the letters begin to argue and the entire alphabet breaks down:

Some letters left, and some letters stayed,
r
uining words and the ideas they conveyed.
Without their friend N, “Near” became “Ear”
and without C and L, well, nothing seemed clear.

Some words were shortened, some ceased to exist
some lost all meaning, and … you get the gist.
It all became chaos, with no way to converse
(I almost gave up on writing this verse!)

Years pass with virtually no communication as the letters refused to work together. Are they destined to stay quiet forever, or will they find away to get back together and reform the alphabet? You’ll never guess how it ends!

Written lyrically with vibrant, colorful illustrations, The Great Letter Rebellion is a fun, clever and hilarious story about the power and importance of communication.

From the best-selling author of Ricky, the Rock that Couldn't RollPatrick Picklebottom and the Penny BookThe Bear and the Fern and Tyrannosaurus Hex comes a new cast of lovable characters and a story you and your children will cherish for years, and read over and over again.

Combining the spirit of She Silverstein, the heart of Mo Willems, and the rhyme and rhythm of Dr. Seuss, The Great Letter Rebellion is ideal for children ages 3-10 and Pre K-3rd grade.

Kids ages: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10
