DESCRIPTION

From the award winning author of Speech Class Rules: An Introduction to Speech Therapy for Children, Ronda M. Wojcicki, comes another story created out of a need she saw for children - to understand and process the pandemic, and to take something positive away from it all.

When the World Slowed Down: How We Were Reminded That We Are All Connected. Our youngest children don't remember much about the pandemic. Our older ones are still making sense of it and dealing with the repercussions. When the World Slowed Down - How We Were Reminded That We Are All Connected is for all of them.

 It offers:
-An account of this unique event in history for children
-Opportunities for readers to share and discuss THEIR experiences
-One of the most important lessons we can ALL take with us

When the World Slowed Down - How We Were Reminded That We Are All Connected also provides a complete lesson plan for the classroom with discussion questions and extension activities following the story.

As an added bonus, the dust jacket opens up to reveal a poster inside for classrooms or homes that serves as a wonderful reminder of 20 Ways to Slow Down When Life Gets Hectic and Hurried. Intended for grades 1-5, this story targets the topics of the historical pandemic, priorities, simplicity, slowing down and connection.
