DESCRIPTION

Clever, resourceful, and bighearted! When this little girl discovers nature has taken a beating, can she use her head to rescue the day?

Bibi loves the beautiful world. Hitting the beach with her two best friends, the joyful nine-year-old can't wait to have fun in the sun, surf, and sand. But she's shocked when the pristine playground she was expecting is covered in garbage.

Determined to solve the mystery, the conscientious child discovers the recycling area is hidden, the no-littering signs are faded, and the trash bins are neglected. But with a job so big, she fears rolling up her sleeves and getting her hands dirty won't be enough to set things right.

Can Bibi recruit her community to jump in and turn the dump into a paradise?

EDITORIAL REVIEWS

Bibi Saves the Ocean by Judith A. Ewa is a child-friendly yet impactful story that dives straight into the heart of environmental consciousness. From the moment you crack open the cover, you’ll be instantly engaged by Bibi’s determination to tackle the issue of litter on her beloved beach. This isn't just a tale about a little girl—it's about community, friendship, and the real-world impact of taking action against pollution. I found myself cheering for Bibi as she uncovers the shocking truth: broken trash bins, faded signs, and a hidden recycling area. How relatable is that? We’ve all been in positions where we see a problem but feel powerless to fix it. But Bibi doesn’t let this hold her back. Her proactive approach resonates with young readers, motivating them to think about how they can be agents of change in their own lives. Just imagine how inspiring it is for kids to see a character rallying her friends, organizing a beach clean-up, and bringing an entire community together! The plot is not only entertaining but also educational. Ewa cleverly integrates important environmental themes, making it easy for kids to understand the significance of keeping our oceans clean. By the end of the story, you’re left with a sense of hope and empowerment, as Bibi successfully transforms her beach into a paradise, inspiring everyone around her to continue the effort. I couldn’t help but smile when Bibi and her friends involved their families and neighbors in this exciting endeavor. It perfectly illustrates the power of teamwork and community spirit, highlighting that every small action counts. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by the notion of making a difference, Bibi’s approach shows that even kids can lead the way—what a beautiful message! In short, Bibi Saves the Ocean is a delightful read for children, packed with adventure, heart, and vital lessons about environmental stewardship. -- Goodnightreads
