EDITORIAL REVIEWS

"What a wonderful creation! Gosia Glinska has executed beautifully on a truly inspired idea: bring the teachings of Saras Sarasvathy — a superstar of entrepreneurship professors — to life in children's books. I imagine thousands of young girls and boys reading these stories, starting small businesses, and over time building them into big flywheels that change the world." - JIM COLLINS, author of Good to Great
"The Mia & Tiago books are a unique treasure for schools and parents who want to teach their children how to think like an entrepreneur. Instead of simply giving kids a business idea to copy, Mia & Tiago actually help kids unlock and act on new ideas they create themselves using principles that are based on decades of research into expert entrepreneurs." - Jim Zuffoletti, serial entrepreneur, co-founder of SafeGuard Cyber and OpenQ

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Gosia Glinska is the Associate Director of Research Impact at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. She believes that entrepreneurship can be harnessed to improve people’s lives and to solve some of society’s thorniest problems. She also believes that we should teach the entrepreneurial method to K-12 students, to empower them to take charge of their own destinies and to become a force for good. Those beliefs inspired Gosia to write MIA & TIAGO, a picture-book series that introduces young children to a set of principles of entrepreneurial decision-making. The highly-teachable principles, known as effectuation, were scientifically developed by Prof. Saras D. Sarasvathy, a leading scholar on the cognitive basis for high-performance entrepreneurship.
