Book Synopsis
A very hungry, sleep-eating elephant has been caught invading the village cabbage field. He must be stopped before the crop is completely wiped out. Many try and fail, until the honeybees of the village come up with the perfect plan to thwart the elephant. 

This book is inspired by the actual work of zoologist, Dr. Lucy King, who studies the interactions between elephants and honeybees in Africa and Asia. ****Day 5 of the lesson plan is a S.T.E.A.M lesson that delves into the topic of human/animal conflict,

Nocola retired from a career as an elementary school teacher in 2022 but still finds herself substituting and mentoring youth in her Southern Maryland community. She and her husband Quincy are transforming their backyard into a mini homestead, complete with a garden, chickens, and of course honeybees, all of which provide Nocola great inspiration for writing. She is a member of SCBWI.
